Robert Shearman is a multiple award-winning writer for television (Doctor Who) and radio (BBC Radio 4). He has written several acclaimed short story collections, winning between them the World Fantasy Award, the Shirley Jackson Award, and four British Fantasy Awards. As a theatrical playwright and director, Shearman worked regularly with Alan Ayckbourn, was resident dramatist at the Northcott Theatre in Exeter, and has received several international awards. His most recent publication is the three-volume “choose your own adventure” short story collection We All Hear Stories in the Dark. Shearman is currently the Visiting Senior Fellow in Creative Writing at the University of Lincoln.
